Action Medical Research
Action Medical Research is one of the UK’s leading medical
charities, looking for answers to many serious illnesses and selecting the best
research projects in the country in areas where they are most likely to find
new treatments and cures for a wide range of diseases and disabilities. They
help fund the most forward thinking doctors and scientists in the UK.
Their ambitious vision is to create a healthier future
without disease and disability for everyone from unborn babies to the elderly.
They believe disease and disability can be beaten through medical research.
Over the last 50 years they have helped develop (amongst
other things):

scanning in pregnancy

Of particular interest to me is Action Medical Research’s
current “Touching Tiny Lives” Campaign. This is helping to carry out more
research to help sick and vulnerable babies, including looking for answers to
premature births and pregnancy complications.
